Extreme renovation is the only way to describe what happened at the Carmike Market Square 10 in Dekalb, Illinois. Over the course of several months in the second half of 2016, our consulting and installation teams replaced every surface – floor to ceiling.
Carmike management wanted no stone left unturned – no surface left untouched. The complete update included interior and exterior painting, new ceiling tiles and brand new wall vinyl for the lobby and hallways. Then the fun really began…
In a demo day (or week) for the record books, the old green and purple tile in the lobby was demolished and hauled away, to be replaced with a low-maintenance, highly-durable poured epoxy flooring for all of the common areas.
Along with brand new, custom casework, our team lined the concession area with new tile backsplash in a signature sunburst pattern. Theatre staff are now enjoying a new dual-kettle popper for popcorn service, along with new AutoFry fryers and TurboChef pizza ovens as part of an expanded menu.
For moviegoer convenience the space now boasts brand new self-serve butter and condiment stations, built around the latest model of Coke Freestyle soda fountains.
